Youth Together is a community-based response to increased inter-racial conflicts and violence in schools. At six high schools in Oakland, Berkeley, and Richmond, California, they work with students to develop leadership to lead and organize school change campaigns that promote multiracial unity, educational justice, and youth empowerment.
The mission of Youth Together is, “Grounded in our commitment to peace, unity and justice, the mission of Youth Together is to address the root causes of educational inequities by developing multiracial youth leaders and engaging school community allies to promote positive school change.”
